Tech... why should I care?

There is a reason why these celebrities have shifted their focus here. Because tech is where the money is and where the future is headed and they don't want to be left behind.

Do any of these thoughts resonate with you?

  • Me... tech? I don't want to sit in a dark room and watch zeros and ones scroll across the screen all day by myself.

  • Tech is a new industry. I'm certain I'm going to have to start all over from scratch. I don't have time to waste.

  • Web 3.0, Metaverse, NFTs. What is all of that? That's too deep for me.

  • A transition sounds terrifying. What if I fail?

  • Tech sounds so boring.

Meet the Founder

Sequoia Blodgett

The award-winning Sequoia Blodgett has had a long and varied career, starting as a music video director with a transition to a venture-backed startup founder, a journalist, an operator, and now a venture capital investor. In addition to Ray Kay, responsible for Justin Bieber's early visuals, and billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper, she has benefited from mentorship from some of the most prominent people in each of these industries. As a result, she deeply understands the power of support. Sequoia Blodgett created this community so that you, too, can land the tech role of your dreams, feel confident in securing that opportunity, and have the aid of your peers who are traveling the same path.

But has she coached though?

In fact she has... on national television!

Some of you may have seen her show, "Startup U" formally on ABC Family and now on Freeform where she coached 10 entrepreneurs on how to secure funding from legendary venture capitalist, Tim Draper.

Excuse the dramatics, it was for tv purposes but, you get the point. The reality is, no pun intended, she loves coaching and has coached well over 300 entrepreneurs, operators, and investors combined on how to break into each and every one of these tech verticals.

Coaching is one of her passions. It's one of the things she does best! Watch the clip. She's much nicer off-camera, we promise, plus, one of the entrepreneurs that she coached got an investment at the end of the program so tough love isn't always bad ; )
